Amrut Fusion Indian Single Malt Whisky
Fusion expression from Amrut is made from barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland.
Nose: Heavy, thickly oaked and complex: some curious barley-sugar notes here shrouded in soft smoke. Big, but seductively gentle, too.
Taste: Smoke on the nose turns into warming, full blown peat, vague sherry trifle note, oaky vanilla and fruitiness; the flavours develop into a really intense chocolate fudge middle.
Finish: Dry peat and oak, spices, molassed sweetness to see the malt through to a satisfying end.
