Part of the Tun 1509 Series from Balvenie, this is Batch 1.
To create Batch No.1 of The Balvenie Tun 1509, David C. Stewart MBE carefully hand-selected 42 of the finest casks (35 traditional American oak barrels and seven European oak sherry butts) from the distillery’s precious aged whiskies. All were transferred to Tun 1509, which sits in Warehouse 24, for several months before bottling.
Nose: Complex, tropical fruity nose with a hint of sherry. Cask notes with pineapple, cherry sweetness, honey and intense floral scents.
Taste: Beautiful fruit dominates from the long barrel aging, creamy walnut with vanilla ice cream, kirsch, pineapple, mango and fruit.
Finish: Very long, the chocolate with the slightly tart fruits remains.
