Glendronach 18 Year Old Allardice 2019 Release Single Malt Whisky
The GlenDronach 18 Year Old has been named after the renowned founder of the distillery, James Allardice. This sherried Single Malt was matured for 18 years in the finest Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
This is the 2019 release.
Glendronach distillery was closed between 1996 and 2001. This means that the versions of 18 Year Old expression bottled between 2013 and 2019 contained much older whisky than that. This 2019 release will contain whisky matured for around 23 years.
Nose: Sweet aromatics of fudge and Muscovado sugar. Fruit compote and glacier morello cherries provide added complexity.
Taste: Rich dark and seductive. Remarkable flavours of stewed fruits and all-spice marry together with classic aged Oloroso sherry and toasted walnut bread combined with chocolate.
Finish: Tremendously complex and long.
