An exceptional expression from Glenfiddich that has spent at least 30 years in European Oloroso sherry and American bourbon casks resulting in a velvety smooth Single Malt and fragrant aromas with an exquisite complexity of fragrance and flavour.
Nose: Herbs, bread, vanilla, light oak, raisins, dates, chocolate, dried fruits, nuts.
Taste: Soft, elegant, fruity, with a slight hint of sherry and nuts.
Finish: Medium long with fading spices and ending in a woody tone.
In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
