Making its debut in September of 2012, the Master Distiller Series from Jack Daniel’s celebrates the 7 Master Distillers throughout the history of the Jack Daniel Distillery.
Part of the Master Distiller Series, introduced in 2013, this was the second release. This Limited Edition release celebrates ‘Jess’ Motlow, Master Distiller at Jack Daniel’s between 1911 and 1941, who oversaw the Distillery through Prohibition.
Nose: Sweet-spicy-tart, vanilla, burnt sugar, caramel, slightly bitter, molasses, beet syrup, oak.
Taste: Intense, bittersweet, toffee, maple or beet syrup, a slightly sweetish-smoky-bitter note, some pepper.
Finish: Medium long, burnt-syrupy-sweet-smoky.
