Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 10 Single Malt Whisky
The Kilkerran ‘Heavily Peated’ is an annual, Limited Edition release, distilled at the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown and bottled at cask strength and around 45PPM. The tenth batch of this highly popular expression was released in 2024. It has been matured in a combination of 90% ex-bourbon, 10% ex-sherry.
Nose: Strong burning wood, iodine, but with a hint of crème brûlée behind it. Caramel toffee and sea breeze round off the nose
Taste: Oriental spices with caramel custard and subtle citrus, surrounded by an amazingly smooth cloud of smoke.
Finish: Long and tasty with bright fruits, fading smoke and a hint of crème brûlée.
