Lagavulin 20 Year Old released for the Islay Festival, Fèis Ìle 2020. This bottling from Lagavulin was matured for 20 years in refill and PX / Oloroso seasoned hogsheads and bottled at cask strength in 2020. The whisky was personally selected by the Distillery Manager Colin Gordon.
Only 6,000 bottles released.
Nose: Soft smoke, sea freshness, salty and mineral notes, vanilla, dried orange slices, cocktail cherries, a hint of eucalyptus, juicy blood orange, leather and delicate oak spice.
Taste: Strong peat and smoke, pepper, sweet orange, raisin, and preserved fruits.
Finish: Long finish with chocolate, cherries, vanilla.
