From Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection comes a 2005 vintage Macallan, aged for 17 years in a single 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, Cask No. 12. Distilled on the 11th of July 2005 then bottled at cask strength on the 26th of April 2023.
Only 660 bottles released.
Nose: A lot of red fruits, prunes, powerful scent. Initially quite punching, some tobacco leaves. After some time, this rough tobacco edge remains quite noticeable, besides the red fruits, berries.
Taste: Quite some power, spicy, pepper. A lot of tobacco leaves again, liquorice, and red fruits, berries, currants. But these tobacco vibes are very present.
Finish: More power now, pepper, tobacco leaves and red fruits. A little bitter touch now, red fruits more to the back. Pretty long finish.
