Springbank 21 Year Old 2023 Release Single Malt Whisky
This is the 2023 release of the Springbank 21 Year Old. The Springbank 21 gold boxed edition was released in 2012, marking the first time a 21 Year Old whisky had been produced by the distillery since 2005. It was matured for 21 years in a combination of 45% Bourbon, 20% Rum, 20% Sherry, 15% Port.
Only 3,600 bottles released.
Nose: Notes of citrus zest, pineapple upside-down cake and fudge. Notes of baked gam and tomato vine leaves, with subtle peat smoke coming through on the nose.
Taste: Tropical influence, ripe mango, dried coconut and papaya, opening up to notes of liquorice, cola syrup, digestive biscuits, honey and a slight earthiness.
Finish: Long with notes of orange zest, campfire embers and caramel.
