Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

This is the 2016 release of the annual limited edition Springbank 25 Year Old. One of just 900 bottles.

    Nose:   Honey, grapefruit, kumquat, tangerine, pineapple, crystal grapes, magnolia, pollen, toffee, preserved fruit, sweet sticks.

    Taste:    Egg whites, fruit acids, flowers and fruits, honey, nuts, white pepper, very light smoked.

    Finish:    Long-lasting, sweet, woody, dried flowers and herbs.
