Glenfiddich announced that they would be ‘pushing the boundaries of Scotch whisky’ by releasing a series of innovative whiskies as part of its new Experimental Series.
Project XX Experiment is the 2nd release of the Series. 20 of the industry’s most exceptional minds came together to create this unique, pioneering expression. Each Malt Master, from the 20 invited, selected a cask and Master Blender Brian Kinsman combined them to create this Single Malt.
Nose: Classic fruitiness with hints of apple blossom and plump pear. A perfect balance of rich vanilla oak with golden sugar and a touch of liquorice.
Taste: Deep and mellow, the candyfloss sweetness is complemented by unusual notes of toasted almonds and cinnamon and a hint of crisp tannin.
Finish: Long lasting with a savoured sweet oakiness.
